Honkai Star Rail Phainon Build: Relics, Teams, Rotation and E2 Value

Phainon is a Physical Destruction carry with two distinct phases: the team builds 12 Coreflame for him, then his Ultimate transforms him into Khaslana and removes the other allies from the field for eight fixed-Speed extra turns. Build him with Wavestrider Captain or As Navigator Isee Sees It, Arcadia of Woven Dreams, a CRIT Rate body, Physical sphere, and ATK rope. Speed only matters before transformation, so tune it around support actions instead of treating it as a permanent damage stat.

Best Phainon Relics and Planars

Wavestrider Captain remains the easiest high-value set because allies frequently target Phainon before transformation and its ATK buff persists through the long Ultimate turn. As Navigator Isee Sees It has the higher ceiling when enhanced Skills stack it rapidly, especially with Cerydra, Cyrene, or E2. Do not refarm a strong Wavestrider set for a tiny paper upgrade.

Speed Tuning Without Wasting Stats

Speed has no direct value during the fixed-Speed Khaslana phase, but it determines how quickly normal Phainon takes actions and gains Coreflame. In Sunday/Bronya teams, setting Phainon one point faster than the first action advancer can create multiple pre-Ultimate actions. A common line is 136/135/134, but use your actual relics and action-advance ranks. If Cerydra or another teammate supplies enough Speed, ATK boots can be better.

Phainon wants teammates who target him, grant Energy effects, provide shields or healing, and front-load buffs that persist while they are Departed. Sunday is excellent for action advance and CRIT support. Bronya adds another action-advance layer. Cerydra can duplicate a key enhanced attack. Dan Heng Permansor Terrae supplies shield and targeting. Cyrene extends or deepens transformation-oriented setups.

Rotation and Skill Choice in Khaslana Form

1. Apply long-duration buffs and shields before transforming.
2. Target Phainon with support abilities to build Coreflame.
3. Use Ultimate at 12 Coreflame unless a short wait safely captures useful overflow.
4. Use Soulscorch Edict when enemy actions will generate strong counter value.
5. Use Stardeath Verdict when Scourge and target count make the burst worthwhile.
6. Plan the Final Hit before buffs expire after transformation.

Trace Priority and Materials

Skill is the first leveling priority, followed by Ultimate, Talent, and Basic ATK because the transformed kit uses enhanced versions across those categories. March to Oblivion is the most important major trace, then Bide in Flames and Shine with Valor. Farm Invasive Clot for ascension, the Black Tide enemy-drop line, Destruction Calyx materials, Daythunder Anamnesis, Tracks of Destiny, Credits, and EXP.

Phainon E2 and Pull Value

E0 is already a complete transformation carry. E1 improves CRIT DMG and extra-turn Speed inheritance. E2 adds Physical RES PEN and an extra turn after Stardeath Verdict, making it the meaningful spender stopping point. However, E2S1 is expensive; accounts missing Sunday, Cerydra, sustain, or a second endgame team should usually broaden the roster first.

• Stacking Speed without checking whether it creates an extra pre-transformation action.
• Entering Khaslana form before long-duration buffs and shields are active.
• Judging relic sets only by a spreadsheet maximum while ignoring team activation conditions.

• Pulling E2 while the account still lacks the supports that generate Coreflame efficiently.
