TL;DR: the ban risk comes from unauthorized channels and from what you hand over, not from the word "top-up" itself. PUBG MOBILE's official notice of 3 June 2021 says purchases through unofficial channels break its user agreement and can lead to confiscated UC and banned accounts. The current PUBG MOBILE EULA separately bans password sharing, account selling and trading UC. ManaBuy states it holds formal authorization from KRAFTON, and its PUBG MOBILE top-up asks only for your UID, never your password. If you want certainty about any seller, ask it to show proof of authorization before you pay.
We read PUBG MOBILE's official notice, the current EULA and the Google Play and Apple refund pages on 28 October 2026.
The clearest official statement is a PUBG MOBILE announcement titled Unauthorized Third-Party Purchases and Refund Abuse, posted on 3 June 2021. It announced "heavier punishments" for unauthorized third-party purchases, refund abuse and related violations. The listed punishments are confiscating all currencies and items obtained via illegal means, and banning the violator's account. The notice adds that accounts with multiple violations face heavier bans.
On channels, the notice is direct. It says PUBG MOBILE:
"never authorizes any individual or third-party platform to perform intermediary purchases."
It also says "Purchases from unofficial channels violate the PUBG MOBILE user agreement", and that problems from those purchases are the buyer's own responsibility. The notice does not name which channels count as official.
The current PUBG MOBILE End User License Agreement from Proxima Beta Pte. Limited (last updated 2026-03-17, the page that pubgmobile.com/terms redirects to) says your purchase "will be made through the functionality available through the App Store or other platforms we make available to you." For game codes and keys it refers to buying "through us or one of our authorized retailers". So the official position has two sides: unofficial channels are a violation, and the publisher does work with channels it authorizes.
The 2021 notice targets purchases that PUBG MOBILE has not authorized. ManaBuy states that it holds formal authorization from KRAFTON, the company behind PUBG MOBILE, for PUBG MOBILE top-ups. We are not going to describe the paperwork here, and you do not have to take any seller's word for it, including ours. Two simple checks work for every site:
A site that cannot or will not answer that question is the kind of channel the notice warns about.
Reading the notice and the EULA together, five situations carry real risk. Most of them have nothing to do with which website you use.
Some sellers ask for your login and buy UC from inside your account. The EULA says you "will not disclose your Game Account password to anyone". Its "No Account Sharing" clause adds that you may not "share or provide access to your Game Account to anyone else." A UID-only top-up never needs your login.
Refund abuse is named in the title of the 2021 notice, alongside unauthorized purchases. Reversing a payment after the UC has been spent is the classic case. If an order really failed, use the normal refund route:
Very low prices can mean the seller paid with stolen cards or abused refunds. When that payment is reversed, the account that received the UC can be hit. The EULA says Proxima Beta may "cancel, revoke, or otherwise prevent the use" of UC if it suspects "unauthorized or fraudulent activity".
The EULA bans "mods, hacks, cheats, bots" and any "unauthorized software programs to gain advantage". If Proxima Beta concludes you are cheating, it may end your access, and cheating in one game can cost you the licence to all its games and services. No tool can create UC for free.
The EULA calls UC "NON-TRANSFERABLE AND NON-TRADABLE" and forbids taking part in "secondary markets" for virtual goods or game currency. Buying a ready-made account or trading UC between players falls here, along with the "No Account Sharing" clause above.
| What you do | Official source | Stated consequence |
|---|---|---|
| Buy UC through a channel PUBG MOBILE has not authorized | 2021 notice: "Purchases from unofficial channels violate the PUBG MOBILE user agreement" | Currencies and items confiscated, account banned, heavier bans for repeat cases |
| Top up through an authorized channel with your UID only | EULA: purchases through platforms "we make available to you" | None listed |
| Give a seller your password or account access | EULA: password confidentiality and "No Account Sharing" | Breaks the EULA; account exposed to theft |
| Refund or charge back UC you already spent | 2021 notice: refund abuse | Items confiscated, account banned |
| Receive UC bought with stolen cards | EULA: "unauthorized or fraudulent activity" | UC cancelled or revoked |
| Use generators, mods or cheats | EULA: Player Conduct and Cheating rules | Access terminated, possibly across all its games |
| Buy, sell or trade accounts or UC | EULA: UC is "NON-TRANSFERABLE AND NON-TRADABLE"; no "secondary markets" | Breaks the EULA |
It depends on your currency and on which app store sets your in-game price, so check both before you buy. We did not record in-game store prices for this article, so we will not claim a saving. These are the USD prices shown on the ManaBuy PUBG MOBILE UC top-up page, as listed on 2026-10-28; prices vary by currency:
| Package | ManaBuy price (USD) | Struck-through price on the page (USD) |
|---|---|---|
| 60 UC | $0.93 | $0.99 |
| 300 + 25 UC | $4.65 | $4.99 |
| 600 + 60 UC | $9.36 | $9.99 |
| 1500 + 300 UC | $23.27 | $24.99 |
| 3000 + 850 UC | $46.56 | $49.99 |
| 6000 + 2100 UC | $92.85 | $99.99 |
Two things change the real answer. First, the final amount is shown at checkout after you pick a payment method, and some methods carry an extra fee. Second, a ManaBuy top-up does not count as an in-game recharge, so in-game recharge rewards will not trigger. If an in-game event pays bonus items for recharging, buying in the game can work out better for that purchase.
For the risks you control, yes. With a UID-only top-up you never share your password, nobody else logs into your account, and the UC goes to the UID you typed. The ManaBuy page says it serves the PUBG MOBILE International Server, that "Only your PUBG MOBILE UID is required for delivery", and that most successful orders arrive "within seconds to 3 minutes", although some take longer.
The main mistake left is a wrong UID. ManaBuy's page says that if a wrong but valid UID receives the UC, the top-up cannot be refunded or reversed. Our guide on how to find your PUBG MOBILE UID before a UC top-up shows where to copy it. For how the same rules work in another game, see our article on whether a third-party MLBB top-up can get you banned.
You can if the site is an unauthorized channel. PUBG MOBILE's 2021 notice says purchases from unofficial channels violate its user agreement and can lead to confiscation and bans. ManaBuy states it is authorized by KRAFTON; for any site, ask for proof of authorization before you pay.
No. A UID top-up needs only your UID. The EULA says you must not disclose your password to anyone, so a seller that asks for it puts your account at risk.
PUBG MOBILE's 2021 notice lists refund abuse next to unauthorized purchases, with confiscation of items and account bans as penalties. If an order failed, ask the seller or the app store for a refund instead.
It depends on your currency and payment method. Compare the in-game price with the final checkout total, and remember that ManaBuy top-ups do not count toward in-game recharge rewards.
Open PUBG MOBILE, tap your avatar in the top-left corner and copy the UID from your profile page. Do not use your nickname or clan name. Our UID guide has the full steps.
