TL;DR: it depends on how you top up. Moonton's terms allow purchases through "certain authorized third party platforms/channels", so a third-party top-up is not banned by default. What Moonton's penalty table does punish is giving away your login, abusing refunds, and using diamonds obtained through unauthorized or fraudulent payments, with suspensions that can be permanent. A top-up that only needs your User ID and Zone ID keeps your password out of the deal, which removes the biggest risk you control.
We checked Moonton's official documents on 28 October 2026.
The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Terms of Service (last updated June 20th, 2025) list where you may buy paid items. Section 6 says:
"you shall make a purchase through the Apple App Store, Google Play store, or certain authorized third party platforms/channels."
So Moonton does accept third-party channels, as long as they are authorized. Moonton does not publish a list of those channels. The same section lets Moonton suspend or cancel a transaction, or your access, if it finds "any abnormal or suspicious transaction or account activities."
Moonton's official Common Violations and Penalty Scales page is more specific. It lists "Abnormal Transaction: Engaging in unauthorized recharge methods" and "Malicious Refunds: Abusing refund policies for malicious purposes." The penalties include deducting the gains, recovering the lost diamonds, and suspending the account for anything from 7 days to permanently. Moonton does not publish how it detects these cases.
Read together, the two documents point to four situations that carry real risk.
Some sellers ask for your username and password and log in for you. Moonton's terms ask you to "keep your password confidential and use only your User ID and password when logging in." Handing your login to a stranger breaks that rule and also exposes the account to theft.
Moonton lists "Malicious Refunds" in its penalty table, with diamond deduction and suspensions of up to permanent. Never reverse a payment for diamonds you have already spent.
If a purchase really went wrong, use the normal refund route instead of a bank chargeback. For in-app purchases, Google Play's refund policy says that after 48 hours you should "Contact the developer to troubleshoot and find out if you can get a refund", and adds: "If a refund is issued, you'll lose access to the item." On iPhone, Apple's refund request page sends you to reportaproblem.apple.com, where you choose "Request a refund."
If a seller paid with a stolen card, the payment can be reversed later. Moonton's penalty table lets it deduct "illicit gains" and recover the diamonds.
Moonton's terms forbid using "cheats, bots, hacks, bugs, errors, or design flaws" to get unauthorized access, which covers any tool that claims to create free diamonds. They also forbid you to "trade, sell, duplicate Virtual Items in or outside the Game unless otherwise expressly permitted by Moonton".
| What you do | What Moonton's documents say | Listed consequence |
|---|---|---|
| Top up through an authorized channel with your User ID and Zone ID | Allowed via "certain authorized third party platforms/channels" (Terms, section 6) | None listed |
| Give a seller your password | Keep your password confidential (Terms) | Breaks the Terms; risk of losing the account |
| Chargeback or refund after spending the diamonds | "Malicious Refunds" (penalty table) | Illicit gains deducted, lost diamonds retrieved, suspension from 7 days to permanent |
| Use unauthorized recharge methods | "Abnormal Transaction" (penalty table) | Illicit gains deducted, lost diamonds retrieved, suspension from 7 days to permanent |
| Recharge through Google Play in another country without authorization | "Cross-Border Google Recharge" (penalty table) | Illicit gains deducted, lost diamonds retrieved, suspension from 7 days to permanent |
| Use generators or hacks | No cheats, bots or hacks (Terms) | Breaks the Terms |
For the risks you control, yes. With an ID-only top-up you never share your password, nobody else logs into your account, and the diamonds go straight to the ID you entered.
ManaBuy is an authorized top-up partner of MOONTON, so it falls under the "authorized third party platforms/channels" that Moonton's terms allow. The ManaBuy Mobile Legends diamond top-up page asks only for your User ID and Zone ID and states "The MLBB password is not required."
Our guide to finding your MLBB User ID and Zone ID walks through where to find both numbers. Check them carefully: an order delivered to the wrong ID cannot be cancelled.
Moonton does not publish a rule saying that. Its terms allow "certain authorized third party platforms/channels", and its penalty table targets "unauthorized recharge methods", malicious refunds and fraudulent activity. ManaBuy is one of MOONTON's authorized top-up partners.
Moonton lists malicious refunds as a violation. The penalties include deducting the diamonds and suspending the account for 7 days up to permanently.
Yes. Moonton's terms tell you to keep your password confidential. A top-up that only needs your User ID and Zone ID avoids this completely.
Tap your profile avatar and look at the number below your profile, shown like 123456789 (1234). The first number is your User ID and the number inside the brackets is your Zone ID. Enter them separately, without the brackets. Our User ID and Zone ID guide has the full steps.
