Honkai Star Rail The Herta Build: Teams, Relics and F2P Options

The Herta is an Ice Erudition carry whose real build starts with a second Erudition teammate. Allied multi-target attacks feed Energy and Interpretation, her 220-Energy Ultimate rearranges stacks onto elite enemies, and the following Enhanced Skill spends them for the main burst. Use Scholar Lost in Erudition, Izumo or Sigonia depending on mode, CRIT body, Speed or ATK boots, Ice sphere, and ATK rope. Into the Unreachable Veil is best; Eternal Calculus is the main F2P option.

Build The Herta Around Interpretation

The Herta places Interpretation on enemies as they enter battle and builds more whenever allies attack. Her enhanced Skill reads the stacks on the primary target, so target selection matters: the middle elite often lets the propagating hits cover the whole wave while cashing out the largest stack. Her Ultimate rearranges stacks toward elite enemies, grants ATK, advances her action by 100%, and creates Inspiration for the enhanced Skill.

When the team contains another Erudition character, her major Trace adds a large team CRIT DMG bonus and improves both Interpretation generation and Energy recovery. Treat that second Erudition slot as part of her kit, not an optional flavor choice.

Anaxa is the premium general partner because he attacks frequently and covers difficult target counts. Jade is excellent for repeated AoE and Pure Fiction. Puppet Herta is a genuinely useful F2P partner in respawning waves. Serval can use a fast Ultimate-spam setup to feed stacks and Energy at low cost. Pick the partner by attack frequency and Skill Point economy, not only by their personal tier.

The Herta Relics, Planars and Stats

Scholar Lost in Erudition is her best four-piece set because Skill and Ultimate are the core of the loop. Izumo is the general planar when another Erudition character is always present. Sigonia becomes more attractive in Pure Fiction where enemies die continuously. A CRIT Rate body is common because consistent enhanced-Skill crits matter more than occasional peak hits.

Mode-Specific Play: MoC, Pure Fiction and AS

Pure Fiction naturally supplies targets, kills, and Energy, so Jade, Puppet Herta, Serval, and Sigonia gain value. Memory of Chaos rewards a stronger elite focus and careful use of the enhanced Skill. Apocalyptic Shadow can work when the boss summons adds or when Anaxa keeps attack frequency high; in strict single-target phases, her Energy generation slows.

Trace Priority and Materials

Level Skill first, then Talent and Ultimate, with Basic ATK last. The Herta needs 65 Dream Fridge, 15 each of Extinguished, Glimmering, and Squirming Core, plus 308,000 Credits for character ascension. Full traces use the Rough Sketch line, Auspice Sliver, Tracks of Destiny, enemy drops, and Credits. Finish ascension and core traces before spending weeks on Scholar substats.

F2P Team and Pull Planning

A strong accessible lineup is The Herta, Puppet Herta or Serval, Remembrance Trailblazer, and Gallagher. The F2P plan works because the second Erudition member supplies attacks rather than just a passive buff. E0 is enough. Her signature is attractive for damage and Skill Point comfort, while E1 preserves Interpretation after the burst and E2 adds another enhanced Skill plus action advance.
