Baxia is a Tank Jungler who clears with repeated Shield of Spirit casts, crosses the map in Baxia-Shield Unity, and suppresses enemy healing and shields through constant skill contact. Pick him when your team needs fast rotations, a durable objective front line, and anti-sustain pressure. Avoid blind long chases into True Damage carries that can kite the roll.
Baxia is listed in-game as a Tank with Support/Damage. His durability comes from high defenses, flat final-damage reduction, and the stronger Baxia Mark during his ultimate. His damage is most useful as repeated pressure that clears camps, keeps anti-sustain active, and forces carries to move.

Passive / Buff / Debuff
Baxia permanently reduces the final damage he receives by 15 plus 1 per hero level. Enemies hit by his skills have their Shield and HP Regen reduced by 40% for four seconds.

Use it well: Keep touching the priority target with Shield of Spirit or the lava path so the anti-sustain window does not fall off during the fight.
Avoid: Do not treat the passive as protection from True Damage. Baxia still needs to respect Karrie, Lesley, and other sources that bypass normal defenses.

Skill 1 / Speed Up / CC
Baxia rolls forward and accelerates. Contact deals 300 plus 60% Total Magic Power as Magic Damage, stuns the target for 0.8 seconds, and nudges nearby enemies back. A second cast jumps terrain and minions; landing on a hero deals 375 plus 75% Total Magic Power and stuns that target for 1.5 seconds.

Use it well: Start the roll before a rotation, use the jump to cross a wall or minion line, and land where the target must retreat rather than directly behind the nearest tank.
Avoid: Do not spend the jump on empty ground when the enemy can sidestep the final approach. Save it to correct the line or cross the last obstacle.

Skill 2 / Damage / Slow
Baxia throws his shield for 140 plus 120% Total Magic Power and 6% of the target's Max HP as Magic Damage. It marks for five seconds and slows by 50% for one second. Hitting an enemy hero or creep lets Baxia cast again quickly and reduces the cooldown to 15%.

Use it well: Aim manually through the camp or front line and keep hitting a hero or creep to maintain the short recast. This is Baxia's main clear, chase, and anti-heal applicator.
Avoid: Do not throw on auto-aim into a minion that blocks the priority target. Missing a hero or creep also removes the fast recast that makes the skill valuable.

Ultimate / Speed Up / AOE
Baxia gains 30% Movement Speed for 10 seconds and leaves a lava path. Enemies on it take 40 plus 30% Total Magic Power as Magic Damage and are slowed by 15% every 0.5 seconds. Baxia Mark's damage reduction is increased to 200% during the effect.

Use it well: Activate after the first crowd-control contact, then run alongside the carry or across the objective entrance so the lava path keeps applying damage, slow, and anti-sustain.
Avoid: Do not use it only for travel when an objective fight is about to start. Its defensive boost and repeated passive application are most important during committed contact.
Start with and prioritize Shield of Spirit, use Baxia-Shield Unity as the secondary upgrade, and level Tortoise's Puissance whenever available. Shield of Spirit is the main camp-clear and chase tool, and every accurate hit preserves the rapid recast.
Use the Custom Tank Emblem with Vitality, Seasoned Hunter, and Concussive Blast. Vitality raises the HP pool behind Baxia's defensive items. Seasoned Hunter improves pressure on Lord and Turtle. Concussive Blast adds an HP-scaling area hit that fits close-range camp clearing and front-line contact.
Take Retribution for the Jungle role. It deals True Damage to creeps and provides the jungle blessing on Tough Boots. The spell is part of Baxia's objective control, so do not spend it on a small camp when Turtle or Lord is about to enter secure range.

Use the item notes below to decide what each slot contributes. The table describes each item independently of the numbered builds.
| Item | What it adds | When to consider it |
|---|---|---|
Behemoth Hunter's Tough Boots | Movement Speed, Magic Defense, shorter control and slow duration, plus the jungle blessing enabled by Retribution. | Use when jungling into Magic Damage or removable crowd control. Change the boot defense only when the enemy damage profile clearly demands it. |
Cursed Helmet | A large HP increase, Magic Defense, nearby Magic Damage, faster creep clearing, and stacking Hybrid Defense reduction on nearby targets. | Buy early for camp tempo and enough HP to keep rolling through fights. It is the shared first full item in all five current builds. |
Chastise Pauldron | HP and Physical Defense with an attack-speed cap reduction against attackers and a delayed Max-HP recovery when Baxia drops low. | Move it earlier into fast Basic Attack carries. Its low-HP recovery is strongest when Baxia can stay in contact instead of being finished by burst. |
Radiant Armor | HP, Magic Defense, HP Regen, and repeatable protection that is strongest against frequent Magic Damage hits. | Prioritize against repeated Magic Damage. Against one large Magic burst, compare the enemy pattern before locking this slot. |
Antique Cuirass | HP, Physical Defense, HP Regen, and reduced Physical Attack from enemies whose skills damage Baxia. | Choose against Physical skill damage and attack-scaling fighters or assassins. Blade Armor is the more direct answer to Basic Attack and critical pressure. |
Immortality | HP, Physical Defense, and a revival that can buy a second contest in decisive late-game fights. | Buy for late objective fights where revival can preserve Retribution pressure or force the enemy to spend a second round of cooldowns. |
Blade Armor | Heavy Physical Defense, Critical Damage reduction, and reflected Basic Attack damage with a brief slow. | Use against Basic Attack and critical-heavy carries. It does little for Baxia against spell-centered Physical Damage, where Antique Cuirass fits better. |
Dominance Ice | Hybrid Defense, Movement Speed, extra defenses near several enemies, and nearby Shield and HP Regen reduction. | Add when the enemy's nearby healing or shielding remains a problem and Baxia needs mixed defenses. Do not buy it automatically when Baxia Mark already supplies enough anti-sustain for the matchup. |

Baxia-Shield Unity → Tortoise's Puissance → Shield of Spirit → Basic Attack. Roll from an angle that limits the carry's retreat, jump over the last obstacle, then run beside the target so the lava path and Shield of Spirit keep Baxia Mark active.

Baxia-Shield Unity → Shield of Spirit → Basic Attack. Use the collision or jump for crowd control, aim Shield of Spirit manually, and stop the chase if the target escapes the reliable recast line.

Chang'e and Silvanna depend on shields, repeated hits, or sustain that Baxia Mark can weaken. Stay in skill range so the four-second debuff keeps refreshing.

Karrie and Lesley can kite Baxia and threaten True Damage that his normal defenses do not solve. Approach from fog, force mobility first, and avoid a long straight chase.

Thamuz and Alpha benefit from Baxia's slow field and anti-sustain pressure, which lets sustained damage stick to a target for longer.

Popol and Kupa do not automatically fix Baxia's need for a clean follow-up angle. Make sure the rest of the draft can capitalize when his roll lands.

Baxia is the steadfast Mystic Tortoise of the Oriental Fighters. After the Battle of the Twin Dragons, he carried the burden of defending the Cadia Riverlands until the return of old companions and enemies forced him to stop living only for the past and choose a new path forward.
The current five builds all start with Behemoth Hunter's Tough Boots and Cursed Helmet. Add Chastise Pauldron against fast Basic Attack carries, Radiant Armor into repeated Magic Damage, Antique Cuirass into Physical skill damage, Blade Armor into critical and Basic Attack pressure, and Immortality for decisive late fights. Dominance Ice is the situational mixed-defense and nearby anti-sustain option.
Custom Tank Emblem with Vitality, Seasoned Hunter, and Concussive Blast supports HP, objective damage, and close-range clearing. This talent line matches Baxia's role as a durable Jungler who stays beside camps and enemy heroes.
Use Retribution. It enables the jungle blessing, accelerates creep control, and gives Baxia a secure tool for Turtle and Lord. Track its cooldown before starting an objective.
Any enemy hit by Baxia's skills has Shield and HP Regen reduced by 40% for four seconds. Repeated Shield of Spirit hits and the ultimate's lava path are the most reliable ways to refresh that window.
Karrie and Lesley are dangerous because they can kite his approach and threaten True Damage. Do not rely only on armor; use vision, an angled roll, and allied control to shorten the chase.
Pick Baxia to turn map speed into objective control. Clear with accurate Shield of Spirit casts, arrive first, roll from an angle, and activate the ultimate when contact is guaranteed. Keep Baxia Mark on the target, preserve Retribution for the objective that matters, and choose each defensive item for the enemy's real damage pattern.
