Polaris Patrol rewards players who choose Desmoulins or an Adjutant deliberately, build around the patrol vehicle and combine identity missions with a safe extraction plan.

Polaris Patrol is a special Operations mode where you deploy as Desmoulins or one of her Adjutants. Check the entry requirements before building a loadout, then use Desmoulins' Neural-Controlled Vehicle as the squad's anchor while completing identity-specific missions and earning Performance Points.

Desmoulins and Adjutants have different entry requirements, equipment, and responsibilities.

Pick a role before spending a badge

The mode changes your appearance and abilities to match the identity you select. It is available in Space City Normal, AZ3 Normal, and Space City Hard Operations.

Friendly Haavk units remain neutral toward Squad Desmoulins, except for Hudson units. Do not treat every NPC like a normal hostile patrol; confirm the faction before opening fire and creating an unnecessary fight.

Your operation performance awards Performance Points. Raising your Performance Rank unlocks Director supplies and limited cosmetics. G.T.I. Operators can also earn Performance Points by defeating a player-controlled Desmoulins.

Entry rules at a glance

Playing as Desmoulins

The Desmoulins identity is locked behind the Desmoulins File, which unlocks at Operations Level 33. The file has five mission branches, and you must complete three. Finishing it unlocks both the Desmoulins identity in Polaris Patrol and the Director's To-Do missions.

Each deployment as Desmoulins consumes one Security Director's Work Badge. Badges cost 250,000 Tekniq Alloys at the Supply Station. The purchase slots recover gradually and have a storage cap, so check your remaining badges before planning repeated runs.

Desmoulins can enter solo or bring an Adjutant. Her squad can configure equipment manually or use Gear Tickets and exclusive Custom Gear Tickets.

Playing as an Adjutant

The Heavy Guard and Comms Guard identities are unlocked by default and do not consume a Security Director's Work Badge. However, an Adjutant cannot enter unless the squad includes a Desmoulins player.

This makes the role a useful way to participate without spending a badge, but the squad should assign Desmoulins before queueing. Otherwise, an Adjutant loadout may not be eligible to enter.

Build the squad around the patrol vehicle

Desmoulins: make the vehicle your squad anchor

Desmoulins deploys and controls a Neural-Controlled Vehicle with a machine gun, grenade launcher, Threat Imaging System, and Seeker Bomb Vehicle. Threat Imaging scans nearby enemies, shares targets with the squad, and improves weapon handling and ADS movement while active.

Open an engagement by gathering information and giving the vehicle and Adjutants a safe angle. Avoid pushing alone: if Desmoulins is eliminated, the enemy can take her special Access Card and use the executive elevator and exclusive extraction access.

Heavy Guard: add explosives and mobile cover

The Heavy Guard carries a Remote Bomb and Smoke Grenade. Both can attach to the Neural-Controlled Vehicle. An attached bomb has a much longer automatic fuse, while attached smoke continues to deploy from the moving vehicle.

Use the bomb to add pressure when the vehicle advances. Use smoke when crossing exposed ground, reviving, or disengaging so the squad can move with the vehicle instead of leaving it behind.

Comms Guard: maintain detection coverage

The Comms Guard fires a Flare that scans enemy Operators at intervals and an Airburst Grenade that deals area damage after a fixed delay. Both devices can attach to the vehicle.

Position the vehicle where the Flare can cover the next contact area. Reliable detection lets Desmoulins save Threat Imaging for a push, extraction, or an enemy flank.

Turn each encounter into Performance Points

Performance Rank is not only about surviving more runs. Use this order to avoid missing identity-specific progress:

  1. Complete the Desmoulins File to unlock her identity and Director missions.
  2. Check whether your current target is in Director's To-Do or Adjutant's To-Do.
  3. Enter with the matching identity and combine that mission with the main operation objective.
  4. After extraction, check Performance Rank progress and the Private Mailbox.
  5. Switch identities when the remaining tasks belong to the other role.

Completing all Director and Adjutant missions awards an exclusive Medal of Honor. Challenge missions can also provide large amounts of Performance Points, combat supplies, and unique Custom Gear Tickets.

Separate guaranteed progress from chance drops

Performance Rank includes the Desmoulins-exclusive M700 appearance Serenity, plus an avatar, spray, calling card, and gesture.

Desmoulins Reward Crates can contain the red-quality Petite Madame or Requin Model. Collecting both lets you assemble the Petite Madame - Requin Model, which can be carried into a match in the EDC Tool Kit. These crate drops are not guaranteed.

If a G.T.I. squad defeats a player-controlled Desmoulins, search the mezzanine area. It can contain one of the limited red-quality collectibles.

Where Haavk attachments fit into the plan

Some Haavk attachments come from weapon crates or trading, while the M700 reward has a separate crafting route.

The HVK Whirlwind Frame System and HVK Whirlwind Enhanced Gas Block can be purchased through the Auction House or found at a low rate in Large Weapon Crates during Operations.

The M700 version of the Enhanced Gas Block also becomes craftable once Polaris Patrol reaches the Hunter stage. Crafting has a weekly limit, so secure the number you need after the recipe unlocks.

Loadout notes before entering the mode

The same update adjusts several Operators and Detonation weapons. The biggest practical changes are:

  • Stinger's self-healing rate is lower, and taking damage now removes the healing buff.
  • Shepherd's Sonic Trap deals less damage and costs more in Detonation.
  • Multiple Clovers deal less damage per summon, and a target hit three times gains temporary immunity to further Clover damage and marks.
  • Desert Eagle and .357 Revolver are stronger in Detonation, while FD-12, M700, MK4, and Thompson lose part of their previous performance.

Healing through pressure and stacking Clover attacks are less reliable. Re-test fixed loadouts in the firing range or a lower-risk match before bringing them into an important run. Frequently asked questions

Can an Adjutant enter Polaris Patrol alone?

No. Adjutants do not spend a Work Badge, but a Desmoulins player must be present in the squad.

How do I unlock Desmoulins?

Reach Operations Level 33 to unlock the Desmoulins File, then complete three of its five mission branches.

Can G.T.I. players earn Performance Points?

Yes. A G.T.I. Operator can earn Performance Points by defeating a player-controlled Desmoulins.

Are the limited red collectibles guaranteed?

No. They have a chance to appear in Desmoulins Reward Crates or in the mezzanine after defeating a player-controlled Desmoulins.

Where can I check current availability?

Check the in-game event page and the official Delta Force update page.

Final checklist

Unlock Desmoulins and check your Work Badges before choosing a role. In the match, coordinate scans, smoke, and explosives around the Neural-Controlled Vehicle, then combine the relevant To-Do missions with normal operation objectives. For rewards, track Performance Rank, limited collectibles, and Haavk attachment sources separately so you do not mistake a chance drop for a guaranteed unlock.
