Where Winds Meet V2.3 adds several quality-of-life tools that matter beyond the new combat content. The most useful are the level-gated Warehouse, the Mount Sack, modular downloads for the official PC launcher, scene-specific graphics options, and new mobile performance controls.

Start by giving the first Warehouse tab a clear purpose, then check which Warehouse tab is assigned to your Mount Sack. If performance is inconsistent, adjust the setting that matches the problem instead of lowering every graphics option at once.

Start by separating storage problems from performance problems

  1. Reach level 20 and confirm that Warehouse Tab 1 is available.
  2. Decide which Common, Gear, and Quick Use items should leave your normal inventory.
  3. Check the number of Mount Sack slots and its assigned Warehouse tab.
  4. Match graphics and performance settings to the device and the scene causing trouble.

You do not need to reorganize everything immediately. A simple split between frequently used items, materials saved for later, and gear awaiting comparison is enough to make the inventory easier to read.

Use the Warehouse for long-term organization

The Warehouse unlocks at level 20. It accepts items from the Common, Gear, and Quick Use inventory tabs. The first Warehouse tab unlocks automatically. Additional tabs use Echo Jade, while more slots inside a tab use Coin.

You can unlock up to three Warehouse tabs, with a maximum of 30 slots in each tab. Bulk deposit, bulk withdrawal, and movement between Warehouse tabs are supported.

A practical tab layout

  • Tab 1: gear and upgrade materials not needed during the current session
  • Tab 2: reserve consumables and Quick Use items
  • Tab 3: collection gear and items saved for later comparison

Define a purpose for the first tab before buying more capacity. More unsorted space can make an item harder to find rather than easier.

Use the Mount Sack as a field buffer

The Mount Sack is portable storage with the same core functions as the Warehouse. Its capacity grows with Mount Prowess. Once Mount Prowess reaches 6,000, every additional 1,000 Prowess grants six more slots. Obtaining a Legendary Mount grants another 12 slots.

When first unlocked, the Mount Sack is assigned to Warehouse Tab 1. You can reassign it to another Warehouse tab. Keeping exploration reserves in the sack and comparison gear in the main Warehouse prevents their roles from overlapping.

Good Mount Sack candidates

  • Reserve items for a long exploration route
  • Gear you do not want to equip yet but may compare later
  • Loot you want to keep until returning to a settlement

Frequently used items should remain in the normal inventory. Treat the sack as reserve capacity, not as a hiding place for the items you press every few minutes.

Reclaim PC disk space without touching your inventory

The official PC launcher can let players enter after the base assets are ready while remaining asset packs continue downloading in the background. Resource Management also includes an on-demand cleanup option for removing unneeded data and reclaiming disk space.

If the game feels unstable while data is downloading, check the download state before entering demanding multiplayer content. On a device with limited free space, verify that a pack is not needed for the region or mode you currently play before removing it.

Match the symptom to one graphics setting first

The update adds a maximum NPC count option and scene-specific graphics profiles for different Wandering Paths modes. Social, Build, and Warehouse tabs have also been added to Settings, making related options easier to find.

If only crowded cities are slow, test the NPC limit first. If one activity is unstable but open-world exploration runs well, use the scene-specific profile. Targeted changes preserve image quality in the places that already run smoothly.

Mobile controls and visibility need separate tuning

Mobile now includes a Texture Performance Optimization toggle. It reduces selected texture detail in exchange for smoother performance. Lighting and shadow rendering in Qinghe and Kaifeng have been upgraded, and physical interaction with foliage has been added.

Custom controls can also unbind selected overlapping actions, and several small-button hitboxes have been improved. If missed inputs are the main problem, review the control layout before sacrificing visual quality.

Quick symptom-to-setting map

  • Crowded settlements are slow: lower maximum NPC count.
  • One mode is slow: adjust its scene-specific graphics profile.
  • Mobile performance is inconsistent everywhere: test Texture Performance Optimization.
  • Buttons overlap or trigger together: unbind unnecessary custom-control actions.
  • PC storage is nearly full: review Resource Management in the official launcher.

Map layers solve a different kind of clutter

Mohist City and Skyward City Ruins in Hidden Mountain now have multi-layer map displays. In areas with several vertical levels, confirm both the destination marker and the currently displayed floor.

For a broader exploration route, use the Where Winds Meet map guide. The same principle applies: unlock useful travel points first, then group objectives that share a direction.

Frequently asked questions

When does the Warehouse unlock?

It unlocks when the character reaches level 20. The first Warehouse tab becomes available automatically.

What is the maximum Warehouse capacity?

Up to three tabs can be unlocked, and each tab can hold up to 30 slots. Extra tabs and extra slots use different currencies.

Is the Mount Sack a separate Warehouse?

It is better understood as portable storage linked to a Warehouse tab. It starts on Tab 1, but players can assign it to another tab.

Why might mobile visuals look different after the update?

Lighting, shadows, and foliage behavior were improved. Players prioritizing stability can test Texture Performance Optimization.

Can every item be placed in the Warehouse?

The official notes specifically list items under Common, Gear, and Quick Use. Check the in-game description for quest items or categories outside that scope.

Final checklist

Give every Warehouse tab a purpose, keep frequently used items in the normal inventory, and use the Mount Sack for reserves. For performance problems, test maximum NPC count, scene-specific profiles, or mobile texture optimization according to where the slowdown occurs.
