Chisa is easiest to build as a fast Negative Status enabler who enters, fills Forte, uses her enhanced chainsaw sequence, casts Echo near the end of her field time, and leaves through Outro. Use Rejuvenating Glow when the team needs a reliable support set; use a damage-oriented set only when Chisa's personal contribution is already part of the clear plan.

Chisa and her weapon in the official Resonator showcase. official Wuthering Waves Chisa showcase.
| Role | Negative Status support / flexible sub-DPS |
|---|---|
| Default set | Rejuvenating Glow for team value |
| Alternative | Thread of Severed Fate or a damage path when personal output matters |
| Main Echo timing | Near the end of Chisa's field time, before Outro |
| Core stats | Energy Regen to loop, then CRIT and Havoc DMG for personal damage |
| Your team problem | Set direction | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Main carry lacks team buffs | Rejuvenating Glow | Chisa's job is to leave quickly and improve the next two field windows. |
| Rotation is stable but clear misses damage | Thread of Severed Fate / damage build | Converts more of Chisa's field actions into personal output. |
| Multi-wave enemies die before statuses ramp | Short support loop | Do not force a long chainsaw sequence on targets that disappear early. |
| Single boss survives full status setup | Full Forte loop | Negative Status value has time to compound. |
This matrix resolves the most common community disagreement. Two Chisa builds can both be correct because one team needs a support set and another is already saturated with buffs. Compare total rotation time and team damage, not Chisa's screenshot damage alone.
Her signature is the premium option, but a support Chisa does not become unusable without it. Prioritize a weapon that keeps Liberation and the Forte loop consistent. For Echoes, start with CRIT on the 4-cost, Havoc DMG or ATK on 3-cost pieces according to the set and team, and ATK on 1-cost pieces. Add Energy Regen only until the Liberation loop is reliable.
| Priority | What to test | Stop condition |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Rotation | Liberation ready every planned loop | No dead Basic strings for Energy |
| 2. Outro | Concerto reaches full before carry window | Outro appears without extending field time |
| 3. Damage | CRIT, Havoc DMG and ATK | Team clear improves, not only Chisa's number |

Intro supplies a large part of Chisa's Forte, so the repeat loop should be shorter. Skill, complete the required enhanced attacks, use Liberation, place the Echo buff late enough to cover the carry, and Outro. If the second loop is as long as the opener, check whether you are repeating unnecessary Basics.
| Core | Chisa's job | Main risk |
|---|---|---|
| Enable the status-driven carry window and leave quickly | Overstaying and delaying Hiyuki | |
| Apply and maintain the relevant Negative Status package | Long rotation on short enemy waves | |
| Flexible team utility and status setup | Choosing a personal-damage set before support needs are solved | |
| Non-status carry + Chisa | General support and sub-DPS | A universal support may be simpler or faster |
Raise the Forte and Skill pieces that control the enhanced state first, then Liberation and Intro according to your rotation. Basic Attack levels are lower priority unless the opener spends meaningful time there. Sequence Nodes are luxury after the team can already enter and exit Chisa's window cleanly.
| Content | Recommended loop | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Tower / single boss | Full Forte sequence with late Echo and clean Outro | The target lives long enough for Negative Status value to mature. |
| Whimpering Wastes multi-wave | Shorter support loop | Reapplying a slow status package to every weak wave loses time. |
| Overworld | Skill, minimum enhanced string, swap | Comfort and movement matter more than a perfect boss rotation. |
| Rotation practice | Repeat the same opener ten times | Consistency exposes the exact input that delays Outro. |
| Weapon | Use case | Decision rule |
|---|---|---|
| Kumokiri | Signature, team and personal-damage ceiling | Consider only after Chisa has a permanent team slot. |
| Lustrous Razor | Permanent five-star ATK/Energy option | Use when its Energy profile closes the Liberation loop without a new pull. |
| Meditations on Mercy | Craftable four-star fallback | Best low-cost starting point when the rotation works at available refinement. |
These are starting points, not a promise that one weapon wins every team. Test whether the weapon changes Liberation availability or the carry's buffed window before spending.
Set the pull ceiling first, then compare top-up options for the remaining shortfall.
Build Chisa around the team's bottleneck. Use Rejuvenating Glow and a short loop when support uptime matters; shift toward personal damage only when the carry window is already clean. The best upgrade is often a faster Outro, not another week of Echo substat farming.
