PUBG MOBILE attachments decide how a weapon behaves after the first bullet. A strong gun can still feel unstable if it has the wrong muzzle, no grip, a poor scope choice or a small magazine. A weaker-looking weapon can become much easier to use when its recoil, reload speed, scope range and handling match the fight you are taking. The cleanest way to build a loadout is to think by range first, then by weapon slot.
For close fights, you need fast aim, hip-fire control and enough bullets to finish a knock. For mid-range fights, recoil stability matters more than stealth. For long-range fights, magnification, single-shot control and muzzle choice matter more than full-auto spray. Use attachments to support the job of the weapon, not just to make every slot look full.
Attachments are not cosmetic. They change how quickly you aim, how many bullets you can fire before reloading, how much the gun kicks, how visible your shots are and how comfortable a weapon feels at different ranges.
The main slots are:
| Slot | What it changes | Best early decision |
|---|---|---|
| Muzzle | Recoil control, flash, sound, effective range or shotgun spread | Decide whether the fight needs control, stealth or range. |
| Foregrip / lower rail | Vertical recoil, horizontal recoil, ADS speed, hip-fire spread or aiming stability | Pick based on spray range and movement style. |
| Sight / scope | Target visibility and practical engagement distance | Do not use more magnification than you can control. |
| Magazine | Capacity, reload speed or both | Extended Quickdraw is usually the best general upgrade. |
| Stock | Weapon shake, recoil recovery or reload speed for specific guns | High value on M416, Vector, ACE32, MP5K, snipers and shotguns. |
| Tactical attachment | Special weapon behavior, such as Full-Auto Mod or Gun Shield | Useful only on supported weapons. |
The official PUBG MOBILE attachment list currently groups attachments into Muzzle, Foregrip, Sight, Magazine, Stock and Tactical Attachment. The practical question is not "Which one is strongest?" It is "Which slot solves the problem in front of me?"
PUBG MOBILE only lets an attachment fit when the weapon has the correct slot and category. An AR muzzle cannot go onto every SMG. A Tactical Stock cannot go onto a gun that has no stock slot. An 8x Scope works on snipers and DMRs, not on every close-range gun.
Use this process in a match:
Do not assume a full-looking gun is correctly built. A Laser Sight on an AR can help hip-fire, but it is not the same as a stability grip for a 3x spray. A Suppressor can hide sound better, but it does not replace a recoil muzzle when you need to hold a long burst.
Range is the easiest way to avoid bad attachment choices. A setup that wins inside buildings can be poor on a ridge. A setup that feels calm at 120 meters can be too slow when someone jumps through a window.
Muzzles are the first major recoil decision. If you are spraying, choose recoil control. If you are flanking, choose sound and flash concealment. If you are extending damage over distance, use the barrel extender where the weapon supports it.
| Icon | Muzzle | Best use | Setup notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Muzzle Brake (AR / SMG / Snipers) | Strong recoil-control pick | Use first for M416, AUG, SCAR-L, QBZ, ACE32, M762, UMP45, Vector and DMR control when available. | |
| Compensator (AR / SMG / Snipers) | Reliable spray stability | Best fallback if Muzzle Brake is not found. Prioritize it over suppressor for full-auto sprays. | |
| Flash Hider (AR / SMG / Snipers) | Balanced early-game option | Useful when you want some recoil help and less visible muzzle flash, but it is not the strongest recoil part. | |
| Suppressor (AR / SMG / Snipers) | Stealth and third-party pressure | Good for flanks, DMR taps and suppressed shots. For close AR sprays, recoil-control muzzles are usually safer. | |
| Barrel Extender (AR, SMG, Snipers) | Keeping damage stronger over distance | Use when range matters more than recoil, especially if you are tapping or bursting instead of holding full auto. | |
| Choke / Duckbill | Shotgun pellet control | Choke tightens shotgun spread. Duckbill reshapes spread and is better when horizontal coverage matters. |
For most AR players, use this priority: Muzzle Brake, then Compensator, then Flash Hider, then Suppressor if stealth is more important than recoil. For SMGs, Muzzle Brake or Compensator helps keep close sprays tighter, while Suppressor is better when you are cleaning up fights without revealing your exact position.
Grips are easy to misuse because every grip sounds helpful. The best grip depends on how the gun fails. If your aim climbs upward, vertical control matters. If the gun drifts side to side, horizontal control matters. If you lose close fights before aiming fully, ADS speed or hip-fire spread matters.
| Icon | Grip | Best use | Weapon notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ergonomic Grip | General stability | Excellent all-round choice for M416, AUG, SCAR-L, QBZ, M762, ACE32, UMP45, MP5K, SKS and Mk12 when supported. | |
| Vertical Foregrip | Reducing upward climb | Beginner-friendly on M416, SCAR-L, AUG, M762, UMP45, Vector, MP5K and SKS when vertical recoil is the main problem. | |
| Angled Foregrip | Side-to-side control and faster ADS | Good for ARs that feel like they drift horizontally. Useful when you peek and aim quickly. | |
| Half Grip | Short bursts and recoil recovery | Strong for controlled bursts, but can feel less stable if you hold a long spray without resetting. | |
| Thumb Grip | Fast ADS and close-mid fights | Good for aggressive AR users who need to aim fast before spraying. Not the calmest long-range option. | |
| Laser Sight | Hip-fire control | Best on SMGs and close-range builds. Do not use it as your main recoil answer for 3x AR sprays. | |
| Light Grip | Aiming stability after movement | Useful if you stop, aim and fire after movement. Less direct for raw recoil than Vertical or Ergonomic. |
Beginner rule: if you do not know what went wrong, use Ergonomic Grip or Vertical Foregrip first. If your spray still drifts sideways, test Angled Foregrip. If your fights are mostly inside buildings, use Laser Sight on SMGs and short AR builds.
The correct scope is the one you can control at the distance you are fighting. Red Dot and Holographic Sight are not "low value" just because they have no magnification. They are often the best choice in compounds, city fights, hot drops and fast squad pushes.
| Icon | Sight | Best range | Use case |
|---|---|---|---|
| Red Dot / Holo | 0-50m | Best default for AR and SMG close fights, room clears and fast target switching. | |
| 2x Scope | 25-80m | Good on UMP45, M416, AUG and SCAR-L when enemies are slightly outside red-dot comfort. | |
| 3x Scope | 40-120m | Best AR spray scope for many players. Use controlled bursts if recoil starts climbing. | |
| 4x Scope | 80-180m | Good for DMR taps and careful AR bursts. Do not force full-auto unless your recoil control is ready. | |
| 6x Scope | 100m+ | Strong on DMRs and snipers. Some players reduce it for AR bursts, but tapping is usually cleaner at long range. | |
| 8x Scope | Long range | Use on DMRs and snipers. It is not a practical close-range AR spray scope. | |
| Canted Sight | Backup close range | Useful when your main scope is 3x, 4x or 6x and you still need a fast close-range sight. |
If you keep losing sprays with 4x or 6x, the answer is often not a new grip. Switch to 3x, shorten the burst or use a DMR.
Magazines are easy: more bullets and faster reloads win messy fights. Extended Quickdraw Mag is usually the best general option because it improves both capacity and reload speed. Mini Drum Mag gives a larger magazine on supported ARs, but it can slow reload rhythm, so use it when sustained fire matters more than quick reset.
| Icon | Attachment | Best use | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Extended Quickdraw Mag | Best general magazine | Use AR, SMG/Pistol or Sniper version depending on the weapon category. Strong on M416, M762, Vector, UZI, Mini14 and Mk12. | |
| Mini Drum Mag (AR) | Sustained fire | Good when you expect long sprays or multiple targets, but plan around slower reload timing. | |
| Tactical Stock | Weapon shake and recovery | High value on M416, ACE32, M16A4, Mk47, Vector, MP5K and M249 when supported. | |
| Stock (Micro UZI) | UZI stability | Important because UZI fires quickly and needs recovery help between bursts. | |
| Cheek Pad | Sniper and DMR stability | Use on snipers and compatible DMRs when you want less weapon shake and calmer follow-up shots. | |
| Full-Auto Mod | Changing fire behavior | Important for M16A4 and Mk47 if you want full-auto pressure. Also appears in official compatibility data for several DMRs. | |
| Gun Shield | Prone LMG cover | Supported by DP-28 and M249. Useful only when the position actually lets you go prone safely. |
ARs carry most PUBG MOBILE squads because they cover close and mid range. Build them around the distance you actually fight, not around a perfect training-ground screenshot.
SMGs are built for close range. The biggest mistake is treating them like long-range ARs. Their best attachments help with hip-fire, fast tracking, magazine safety and short-distance control.
Even when AR and SMG builds matter most, the full attachment system also includes DMRs, snipers, LMGs, shotguns, pistols and crossbows.
| Weapon type | Best attachment direction | Practical note |
|---|---|---|
| DMRs like Mini14, Mk12, SKS, SLR, QBU | 4x/6x/8x, sniper or AR-compatible recoil muzzle, sniper magazine, Cheek Pad where supported | Tapping rhythm matters more than maximum spray speed. |
| Bolt-action snipers like Kar98K, M24, AWM, Mosin-Nagant | 6x/8x, Suppressor or Muzzle Brake/Compensator, Cheek Pad or Bullet Loop where supported | Use Suppressor for stealth picks, recoil muzzle for faster follow-up control. |
| LMGs like M249 and DP-28 | Sight, magazine/stock/tactical support where available, Gun Shield on supported guns | Strong when prone or anchoring, risky when forced to move and reload under pressure. |
| Shotguns like S686, S1897, S12K, DBS, M1014 | Choke, Duckbill, Shotgun Quick Loader or Bullet Loop depending weapon | Build around the doorway or stair fight you expect, not open-field duels. |
| Pistols and Skorpion | Small sights, SMG/Pistol magazine, suppressor where supported | Backup tools only, but Extended Mag can save early hot drops. |
| Crossbow / Tactical Crossbow | Quiver and suitable sight | Slow but quiet. Use only if you are confident with timing. |

Suppressor is useful, but it is not the best answer for every spray. If you are fighting at 40-90 meters with M416, AUG, M762 or ACE32, a Muzzle Brake or Compensator usually gives more practical value. Use Suppressor when staying hidden is the real win condition.
A 6x can be useful on an AR, but only if you control it. Many players would get better results with 3x, short bursts or a DMR. If your spray jumps above the target after the first bullets, reduce magnification or stop spraying so long.
Vector, UZI, M762 and many ARs are less forgiving without magazine upgrades. Extended Quickdraw Mag is not a luxury; it often decides whether you finish a knock or reload in front of the enemy.
Vertical Foregrip helps upward climb. Angled Foregrip helps side-to-side recoil and ADS speed. Laser Sight helps hip-fire. Ergonomic Grip helps overall stability. If you do not identify the problem, you may choose the wrong solution.
After changing guns, inspect both weapons. A stock, mag or scope can stay attached to the old weapon, move to the new one or remain in the backpack depending on compatibility and game behavior. A late-game fight is a bad time to discover your main AR has no magazine.
A perfect long spray in training mode does not prove a setup is best for ranked. Real fights include movement, crouch timing, peeking, teammate pressure, smoke, hit reaction and panic. Test attachments in realistic distances.
Use these related guides when attachments connect to wider gameplay decisions:
Good PUBG MOBILE attachment choices start with distance. Use Red Dot, Laser Sight and magazine upgrades for close fights. Use Muzzle Brake or Compensator, a stability grip and 2x or 3x for mid-range AR sprays. Use 4x, 6x, 8x, sniper muzzles and stock support for DMRs and snipers. Build M416, AUG, SCAR-L and ACE32 as stable mid-range rifles, build M762 and AKM around shorter bursts, and build SMGs around close-range pressure. Attachments cannot fix every bad fight, but they can make the right fight much easier to win.
