NIKKE Wishlist Guide: Build All 20 Slots for Your Account

A good NIKKE wishlist is built around your own roster, not a static top-20 list copied from someone else. Fill every slot, decide what your account needs next, and keep each target only while it still has a job. That approach stays useful even when new Nikkes enter the Ordinary Recruit pool.

Quick answerComplete all four groups with five choices each. Before the 160 wall, value useful spare bodies and team-enabling units. After that wall, shift toward missing PvE roles, raid teams, or PvP speed. Review the list after a major pull session or pool update, not after every single recruit.
The wishlist uses four groups—Pilgrim/Over-Spec, Elysion, Missilis, and Tetra—with five choices in each. All 20 slots must be filled before the selection applies; check the in-game screen again after a recruitment-pool update.

Why all 20 wishlist slots matter

The wishlist narrows which eligible SSR Nikkes can appear from Ordinary Recruit, but it does not guarantee a specific result. If even one group is incomplete, the wishlist will not apply. Pick a useful fifth option now and fine-tune it later; getting all 20 slots active comes first.

GroupRequired choicesWhat to check firstTypical mistake
Pilgrim / Over-Spec5Missing account-changing rolesAssuming an Over-Spec unit belongs under its original manufacturer
Elysion5Campaign utility, boss support, spare bodiesCopying a tier list without checking owned units
Missilis5Burst chain, buffers, core damage rolesStacking one role while leaving a team gap
Tetra5Healers, supports, specialists, PvP needsKeeping completed targets with no next purpose

Start with the problem your roster needs to solve

Before the 160 wall

Keep Nikkes you can use now and still benefit from if you pull spare bodies.

Campaign blocked

Fix the missing part of your Burst rotation, sustain, screen clear, or boss damage before adding another damage dealer.

Established roster

Look for a second raid-team support, faster PvP Burst, missing element, or a favorite with a clear job.

If you are missing a dependable Burst I unit, your list should look very different from a veteran account that can already field several teams. Before changing any slot, finish this sentence: “My next upgrade is ____.” Keep only Nikkes that help with that goal or a specific limit-break target.

A five-pass method for choosing the 20 names

  1. Mark owned and missing units.Separate true roster gaps from units you simply like.
  2. Map one full Burst chain.Check whether your main PvE team can reach Full Burst consistently before adding luxury damage.
  3. Identify duplicate value. Before the 160 wall, note which useful owned units can also advance limit breaks.
  4. Fill manufacturer gaps.Choose five legal options in every group, including the Pilgrim/Over-Spec group.
  5. Replace finished targets.Once a Nikke has done the job you kept her for, move that slot to the next role or limit break you need.

How to rank two candidates in the same group

QuestionChoose Candidate A when…Choose Candidate B when…
Does one complete a Burst chain?A fills a missing Burst stage or cooldown needYour chain already works without A
Does one help the 160 wall?A is useful now and a duplicate advances a relevant limit breakThe wall is already cleared
Is one only a specialist? You actively play the content where A mattersB improves more of your weekly play
Will a new pool update change this?A remains a durable team pieceB is a temporary placeholder you plan to review
Decision flow for choosing NIKKE wishlist targets

Choose by account need, then use duplicate value as the tiebreaker.

When to replace a wishlist target

Do not remove a target just because you pulled the first copy. A support may still be worth keeping for a planned limit break, while a damage dealer may be fine at one copy if another missing role helps more. Add a short note beside each name—“160 wall,” “main team,” “raid,” “PvP,” or “favorite.” When that reason is no longer true, change the slot.

  • After clearing the 160 wall
  • After a large Ordinary Recruit session
  • After the eligible pool changes
  • After finishing a core Burst chain
  • When a target reaches its planned limit break
  • When your main content changes

Common wishlist mistakes

The biggest mistake is leaving the list incomplete, because the filtering will not work. Another common trap is copying a creator’s list without looking at your own roster. Also watch for Over-Spec units in the wrong group, five damage dealers with no support plan, or constant changes that never give one goal time to pay off.

Three account profiles and how their lists differ

Say your account has two solid SSR attackers but no dependable cooldown support. Finishing the Burst rotation matters more than adding the next highly ranked damage dealer. If your campaign team already works but you are still at the 160 wall, keep useful owned Nikkes whose spare bodies help break the wall, and skip duplicates you will stop using afterward.

On an established account, another copy of a generalist may matter less than a missing support for raid team two, an elemental answer for a boss, or a fast Burst option for Arena. The exact names will change, but the rule stays simple: fix the next roster gap, keep that target until the job is done, then move the slot.

New accountCan one team reach Full Burst reliably?“Completes my Burst II and cooldown plan”“Appears high on a global tier list”

Established accountWhich weekly mode lacks a specialist?“Builds raid team two or fixes PvP speed”“Another copy with no planned limit break or team use”

NIKKE wishlist FAQ

Why is my wishlist not working?

Check that all four groups contain five valid choices. The wishlist does not apply with an incomplete set of 20.

Does the wishlist guarantee a selected Nikke?

No. It narrows eligible SSR results in Ordinary Recruit; it does not guarantee a specific character on the next pull.

Where do Over-Spec Nikkes go?

They are selected in the combined Pilgrim/Over-Spec group rather than their original manufacturer group.

Should I remove a unit after the first copy?

Only if the first copy completes its purpose and another target would improve the account more. Duplicate goals can justify keeping it.

How often should I update the list?

Review it after major pulls, a pool change, clearing the 160 wall, or a change in your main content goal.

Set your next roster goal before spending

If you plan to add recruitment resources, first decide which missing role or limit break you are actually chasing.

Final checklist

Fill all 20 slots, name one account goal, balance missing roles against duplicate value, and set a review trigger. This gives you a stronger wishlist than any universal ranking, because every target has a clear reason to stay on the list.
