Eclipse is Destiny: Rising’s first global World First race in the 6-player PvE raid mode Gauntlet: Onslaught. It runs simultaneously on all servers; the earliest full clear across the three Onslaught stages wins. The format mirrors traditional raid races, but with mobile-first balance and fair-play restrictions.

Official start time (global)

The developers and event pages list September 19, 2025 as the kickoff, with synchronized regional clocks (e.g., 9:00 AM PDT, 6:00 PM CEST, 5:00 PM BST, 1:00 PM BRT, 12:00 AM SGT on Sept 20).

How a winner is determined

Unlike a single raid instance, Gauntlet: Onslaught is split into three distinct activities. The title goes to the first fireteam to complete all three combined, start to finish.

Destiny Rising Eclipse Start Time / Rules (Official)

Start time: Global, Sep 19, 2025 (see regional breakdown above).

Participation requirements:

  • Main Story: Clear Chapter 5-1

  • Account: Team Level 50

  • Power: 55,100+ recommended
These gates ensure teams are raid-ready and reduce gear-check wipes.

Fair-play / contest settings (during Eclipse):

  • Weapon mods: Disabled

  • Exotic catalysts: Only Node 1 allowed

  • Weapon gear level: Capped at 80

  • Character talents & light-linked companions: Disabled

  • Artifact: Perks enabled, no gilding/tiers/attribute effects
The intent is a level playing field that prioritizes execution and teamwork over pay-to-win advantages.

Dev preview confirms the three-activity format and competitive safeguards; see the World First Preview – Eclipse on the official site.

Destiny Rising Gauntlet: Onslaught Guide (World-First-Ready)

The Gauntlet: Onslaught raid is a three-stage sequence mixing survival, puzzle routing, and a multi-boss finale. Below is a mechanics-first guide built from published raid notes and event previews.

  • Power: Aim for 55,100+ (higher = more forgiving TTK).

  • Team: 6 players; assign fixed roles per stage (generator, add-control, runner, flex).

Stage 1 — “Generator Uplink”

Goal: Stabilize three power pylons while controlling add waves.
Key mechanics:

  • Charge Relays spawn on a timer; dunk at matching pylons to climb stability.

  • Surge Captains apply a stacking debuff that reduces regen—prioritize stagger and burst.

  • Wipe timer is tied to total stability; don’t leave pylons idle.

Roles & tips:

  • 2 Add-Control (left/right lanes), 2 Runners (relay pickups), 1 Flex, 1 Boss-Chip (for champions).

  • Rotate super/ult windows for add clears every relay wave.

Stage 2 — “Conduit Labyrinth”

Goal: Route energy through a maze by rotating nodes in the correct sequence.
Key mechanics:

  • Activating Conduit Nodes changes adjacent paths; one wrong turn spawns Suppressors that lock a node for ~20s.

  • Limited revives per team—protect runners.

Callouts:

  • Pre-label quadrants (A/B/C/D) and call node faces like “A-Top-East.”

  • Keep one player on Overwatch (high vantage) to guide rotations after each activation.

Stage 3 — “Eclipse Core”

Goal: Boss gauntlet with rotating damage windows and cleanse checks.
Key mechanics:

  • Mark of Umbra stacks require periodic Solar cleanse from designated plates.

  • Shielded pylons open DPS windows after synchronized dunk mechanics.

  • Expect add intermissions; save burst for shield breaks.

DPS plan:

  • Assign 2 plate runners, 3 burst DPS, 1 add-captain.

  • Communicate “break → burst → cleanse” rhythm; one late cleanse can cascade into a wipe.

Team Building for Eclipse (Roles, Loadouts, Comms)

Role templates (adapt to your roster):

  • Add-Control: fast-clear primaries + wide-AoE specials; prioritize survivability perks since talents are disabled during the race.

  • Runner/Mechanics: mobility tools and high handling for quick pickups/dunks; reserve burst for “Surge Captains.”

  • Burst DPS: highest sustained damage options that don’t rely on banned systems (mods/talents); align cooldowns for shield breaks.

Comms checklist:

  • Pre-agree callout nomenclature (lanes, plates, nodes).

  • Assign a shot-caller per stage; only they green-light DPS.

  • After every wipe, immediately recap: last safe cleanse time, pylon uptime, revive usage. (Revive limits are part of the Labyrinth stage—track them.)

Practice Plan Before Race Day

  1. Story & level prep: Finish Chapter 5-1, reach Team Lv. 50, hit 55,100+ Power (or as close as possible).

  2. Dry runs: Scrim relay dunk routes and node rotations in customs or previous Onslaught instances to internalize timing.

  3. Fair-play build audit: Strip banned systems (mods, talents, companions); verify gear level ≤80 and artifact perks only.
