Dunk City Dynasty Tier List (September 2025): Best Players & Builds for 3v3

Dunk City Dynasty is an NBA & NBPA-licensed mobile streetball game with fast 3v3 “first to 11” matches, ranked, and full-court 5v5. New events and player drops (e.g., Wade, Anthony Davis) keep the meta moving, so this tier list blends official info, third-party guides, and community insight.

How we rank

We score players for 3v3 and Ranked using: (1) shot creation / rim pressure, (2) off-ball value, (3) defense & rim deterrence, (4) synergy with common teammates, and (5) ease of execution. Modes like 11-Point 3v3 reward fast scoring and turnover pressure; 5v5 favors half-court reads.

Sources referenced: official listings & announcements, plus recent tier discussions from trusted gaming outlets and community threads (opinions vary).

S-Tier (meta staples)

  • Stephen Curry (PG) – Best spacing + pull-up gravity; bends defenses in 3v3 win-by-11.

  • Giannis Antetokounmpo (PF) – Elite slashing, switches across positions.

  • Nikola Jokić (C) – Interior hub: screens, playmaking, rebounds.

  • LeBron James (SF) – Initiator who defends wings and finishes through contact.

  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (PG/SG) – Unstoppable drives; community often places him at S.

  • Anthony Davis (PF/C) – Shot blocking + lob threat; featured in recent promos.

As expected, all the superstars fall under the S-Tier players because of their raw attributes and unique strengths compared to the other players. However, we do have two great starter players on S-Tier, Stephen Curry and LeBron James.

A-Tier (strong picks, easier to fit)

  • Luka Dončić (PG/SG) – Big guard creation; opinions vary (A to B in community talk).

  • Clint Capela (C) – Screens, boards, rim protection for budget-friendly 3v3 comps.

  • Jayson Tatum (SF) – 3-level scoring on the wing; part of official star pool.

  • Kevin Durant (SF/PF) – Matchup-proof shot making.

  • James Harden (G) – Pick-and-roll engine; kick-out threat.

These A-tier players are great when you don’t think about the superstar-level players. In fact, some of these players are most likely stronger than superstar players when you encounter them because they are most likely more upgraded and enhanced from the duplicate pulls.

B-Tier Overview (Still Worth Your Pulls)

B-Tier players are absolutely serviceable in ranked and 11-Point 3v3—especially once they’re upgraded and enhanced. With the right builds and teammates, they can punch above their weight and feel like mini-superstars.

  • Jusuf Nurkić – A dependable mid-post scorer with an easy two via his fadeaway, plus solid rebounding and paint defense. He won’t dominate every matchup, but maxing BLK/REB/MID keeps him reliably efficient.

  • Bam Adebayo – A strong two-way anchor whose ultimate doesn’t swing games as hard as Pau Gasol or Clint Capela. Still a safe pick for screens, switches, and consistent stops.

  • Fu Zhi – Makes the cut for his ball pressure and steals. In coordinated teams he plays like a true lockdown—disrupting handlers, forcing passes, and flipping possessions.

  • Devin Booker – Elite shot-maker, but a kit that leans on mid-range lowers his ceiling versus pure spot-up snipers. In current meta, Klay Thompson’s three-point gravity typically adds more value.

  • DeMar DeRozan & Andrew Wiggins – Efficient slashers and sturdy wing defenders, yet the meta prioritizes high-value threes, rim protection, and glass control. They still farm easy paint points and bring strong perimeter D—just not the same ceiling as top shooters.

  • Russell Westbrook – Same story: terrific downhill pressure and defense, but limited three-point threat keeps him a half-step behind more spacing-friendly guards.

Note: New legends (e.g., Dwyane Wade) and live patches can spike picks up or down—check event notes in-game.

Why they grade out as B-Tier right now

Dunk City Dynasty’s most popular modes reward quick possessions, three-point efficiency, and rebounding edges. That naturally lifts pure shooters, elite rebounders, and hard crowd-control ultimates—while mid-range-first scorers and non-spacing guards slide a tier. Build wisely, and these B-Tier pieces still win you ranked sets—especially if you lean into their strengths (mid-post touches for Nurkić, switchable defense for Bam, on-ball pressure with Fu Zhi) and pair them with spacing/harmony buffs

Best 3v3 meta lineups

  • Pace & Space: Curry (PG) + Klay/KD (Wing) + Jokić/Capela (Big) — threes + boards.

  • Slash & Kick: SGA/LeBron + Giannis + spot-up wing — relentless rim pressure.

  • Switch & Seal: LeBron/Tatum + AD + switchable guard — switch defense, post seals.

Mode notes

  • 11-Point 3v3 favors fast 2s/3s, turnover creation, and low-waste possessions.

  • Ranked 3v3 (no dupes) increases the value of flexible wings and rim protectors.

  • 5v5 Full Court rewards bigs who rebound and guards who pace-control.

FAQ

Is there one “best” player?
No. On small courts, fit + chemistry often beat raw OVR—pair a creator, a spacer, and a rim defender.

Do event drops change the list?
Yes. Licensed stars can enter through promotions (e.g., Wade), shifting pick rates.
